Our mission is to bring the world of MAINFRAME COMPUTING to Veterans and under represented youth and young adults. These highly desirable skills should make them 'sought after job candidates' in the mainframe job market. Giving them the ability to  'substantially' better their lives as well as their family's lives forever.

  • Why? Because mainframe personnel are retiring at a record pace, and these companies will need new personnel with some Mainframe experienced, and they will need them NOW!

  • Why? Mainframe Computing is not a standard computing course in most Colleges and Universities.

  • Why? Mainframes are unique computers, they are different from any other computer that  students have ever touched!

  • What is our goal? Job placement and the start of a new career! That's how we measure success.

Mainframe Mentors was a presenter at  Brookdale Community College's 2020 Minority Male Initiative Conference. We presented "Mainframes, what a great career choice" it was well received by the student audience.

  • MfM will be seeking funds to help train 2 students in mainframes and hopefully we can come up with some sort of internships for these two hard working individuals.
